Cardiothoracic Surgeon Alexander M. Wohler, M.D., F.A.C.S., joins Northwest Health

Alexander M. Wohler, M.D., FACS, board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon, recently joined the active medical staff of Northwest Health, practicing at Northwest Heart & Vascular Institute. The clinic is located at 601 W. Maple Ave., Suite 704, in Springdale, and he is currently accepting new patients.

In practice for more than 14 years, Dr. Wohler comes to Northwest Health from Hampton Roads, Va. where he practiced and served as the chief of cardiothoracic surgery at Bon Secours Health Systems.

Dr. Wohler provides advanced surgical care including heart valve replacement and repair, coronary artery bypass surgery, aneurysm surgery, atrial fibrillation surgery as well as minimally invasive surgeries.

He earned his medical degree from University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Mo. After that, Dr. Wohler continued his medical education by completing a general surgery internship and residency at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He went on to complete a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, N.Y.
