Northwest Health Honors Volunteers During National Volunteer Week

Northwest Health is honored to recognize National Volunteer Week, taking place April 20-26. This special week celebrates the incredible dedication of volunteers who generously contribute their time, energy and talents to help fulfill our mission of delivering quality health care to the community.
"Our volunteers’ unwavering dedication and compassion make a profound difference in the lives of our patients, their families and our team members," said Juli McWhorter, administrative leader of Northwest Health, chief executive officer of Northwest Medical Center - Willow Creek Women’s Hospital and Northwest Health Physicians’ Specialty Hospital. “We are deeply grateful for their invaluable contributions, which allow us to deliver the highest level of care and support to our community."
Northwest Health's volunteer program encompasses a wide range of roles, including patient companions, information desk greeters, gift shop associates and administrative support. Volunteers come from all walks of life, united by a shared passion for making a positive impact. Their selfless acts of service range from providing a warm smile and friendly conversation to assisting with clerical tasks and lending a hand at special events. Through proceeds from Auxiliary gift shops, thrift store sales and other fundraising efforts, volunteers also help fund community grants and scholarships, further extending their impact.
"National Volunteer Week is a time to honor the selfless individuals who make our community stronger and healthier,” said Nancy Stewart, volunteer services supervisor at Northwest Health. “We are truly humbled by the generosity and compassion of our volunteers and we look forward to celebrating their invaluable service alongside the entire Northwest Health family.”
