Northwest Health welcomes internist Philip Pitts, M.D.

Northwest Health welcomes board-certified internist Philip Pitts, M.D., to the medical staff, practicing at Northwest Medical Plaza – Pinnacle.
In practice for 30 years, Dr. Pitts specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from routine and preventive health to complex illness. He said he wanted to specialize in internal medicine because it allowed him to deal with all diseases.
Dr. Pitts’ interest in medicine started in ninth grade biology in addition to seeing his oldest brother become a doctor.
“As a physician, my practice philosophy is to provide excellent diagnostic services to alleviate the stresses of the unknown by giving clear, actionable and correct advice,” he said.
He earned his medical education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and then completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark.
