Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician Paul L. Hurd II, MD, joins Northwest Health

Paul L. Hurd II, MD, physical medicine and rehabilitation physician (PM&R), recently joined the active medical staff of Northwest Health. Dr. Hurd will provide services for patients at Northwest Health’s Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.
Dr. Hurd comes to Northwest Arkansas from Fort Myers, Fla. where he was in a group practice for the past year. He specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation with subspecialization training in interventional spine and sports medicine.
He is board-certified in physical medicine & rehabilitation by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) and has published scholarly works in several professional publications. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, North American Spine Society and Spine Intervention Society.
Dr. Hurd earned his medical degree at Louisiana State Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, La. He then completed a physical medicine & rehabilitation residency at the Temple University Hospital/MossRehab in Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Hurd received his interventional spine and sports medicine fellowship training at OrthoAlabama Spine and Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Ala.
The rehabilitation unit located within Northwest Medical Center - Springdale provides around the clock nursing & medical care coupled with skilled & intensive therapy for patients recovering from a stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, neurological diseases, brain injury, complex orthopedic injury, joint replacement, or other debilitating condition.
