Robotic-assisted surgery
Some orthopedic surgeons at Northwest Physicians use robotic-assisted technology for certain procedures, including select hip and knee replacements. This approach allows surgeons to use computer-guided planning and real-time feedback during surgery to support accurate implant positioning based on each patient’s individual anatomy. Robotic-assisted surgery can offer benefits such as quicker recovery, reduced blood loss and less scarring.
Robotic-assisted techniques are used alongside the surgeon’s experience and clinical judgment and are not required for every procedure or patient. Your surgeon will discuss which surgical approach is appropriate based on your condition and treatment goals. Patients interested in robotic-assisted joint replacement can ask whether this option is available during their consultation.
